ADAPT Community Network, formerly United Cerebral Palsy of New York City, is the leading human service not-for-profit and a pioneer in providing cutting edge programs and services for people with disabilities. Every day, we build a more inclusive world for thousands of New Yorkers through education, technology, health, residential and recreational programs in all five boroughs.
Description: Your child has just been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and it may feel as though the ground has dropped out from under you. A range of strong and conflicting emotions arise and you’re wondering what this will mean for you and your family. The challenges may seem overwhelming at first, but you don’t have to face them alone. This workshop discusses ASD and what it means for your child and family, while providing tips and resources you can access and utilize to better navigate this new diagnosis.
We are proud to be a longtime charity partner for the TCS New York City Marathon. Supporting the marathoners of TEAM ADAPT is an incredible way to contribute to our meaningful programs and services that, like the marathon, are throughout all of New York City.
